Jamie Lundquist

Pastor Lundquist and his wife, Amber, began their ministry at Providence in May of 2006.  He was born and raised in Galesburg, Illinois. He accepted the Lord as his personal Savior at the age of seven and surrendered to full-time ministry at the age of 24. He received a BA in Youth Ministry in 2004 from Bob Jones University.  Pastor Lundquist has been working with youth in a variety of settings since 1999.  He served as a counselor at the Wilds Christian Camp in Brevard, North Carolina, Youth Staff & Junior High Leader at Calvary Baptist Church in Simpsonville, South Carolina, Intern-Youth Pastor at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and Program Director at CoBeAc Camp & Retreat Center in Houghton Lake, Michigan.

Amber grew up in a pastor's home in Lansing, Michigan and has been involved in many various ministries her entire life.  She was saved at the age of four and received assurance of salvation while in college.  Amber received a BA in Sacred Piano from Pensacola Christian College in 1999.  Amber's pursuit and passion for God have been a tremendous blessing and support to her husband and the Youth Ministry of Providence.

Pastor Lundquist and Amber were married in 2001.  They currently have been blessed with two sons, Strad and Josiah!  They enjoy family time, home improvement projects, and anything that keeps them in the great outdoors.  Their passion and desire is to see young people grounded and growing in their walk with God that they might live in a way that brings honor to God.  Pastor Lundquist's life verse is Philippians 3:10, "That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death;"
